Receive 5 cents for each item marked HI 5.
- Aluminum Cans
- Glass Bottles
- Plastic bottles
- Bi Metal beverage containers
HI 5 containers are beverage containers 64 oz or less, excluding dairy, wine, and hard liquor. As of 12/07, 2
liter bottles will have a deposit. Please separate from other plastics for hand counting.

- #2 plastics (natural colored, such as milk jugs) – receive 10 cents per pound
- Non HI5 Aluminum cans - receive 25 cents per pound

There is no refund, but we will accept your non HI5 #1 Plastic bottles, #2 Plastic Colored bottles and non HI5
glass. WE ACCEPT CARDBOARD FOR RECYCLING. Sorry, we do not take newspaper or metal food cans. |

States Conversion Scale
1 pound Aluminum = 31.6 containers = $1.58
1 pound Bi-metal = 8 containers = $.40
1 pound Glass = 2.3 containers = $.115
1 pound mix plastic = 17.5 containers = $.875
1 pound small plastic = 22.7 containers = $1.135
(Small plastic is 17 oz or less)
2 liter bottles must be separate and hand counted by staff
If you bring more than 200 items they will be weighed using the state's conversion scale. You will still
receive the same amount of money. |

- Please separate items before you arrive to make things go faster
NOTE: If items are not sorted, please do not use the driveway. Park in the stalls out front where you can sort your items using our
bins.
- All items must be empty of liquids
- Please do not bring in other plastics, food containers, food cans, or newspaper. These items should go to a county drop box
site.
- You may crush cans and plastic as long as we can still see the HI 5 stamp
- Keep non HI5 items separated from HI5
